Insemination apparatus

Major duct membranous and short, receptaculum visible in most of the specimens. Atrium differentiated, included within the basis of calyx. Minor duct visible. The basis of the calyx is membranous at level of the atrium, afterwards it becomes sclerotised. The shape of the calyx is campanulate, 18 long and 9 wide.
Remarks.
The measurements and other morphological characters of the two specimens examined here generally fit the original description of this species. This species is close to
Typhlodromus
(
Anthoseius
)
clairathiasae
Wainstein & Arutunjan
, differing from it by having its setae longer, especially
Z4
, and by the presence of macrosetae on leg IV. This is the first report of this species from
France
.
