Distribution.
Maghrebian species, distributed mainly in the northwestern part of
Morocco
(L’Mohdi 2016). In the Great Moulouya, it was known only from Zeghzel’s springs (
Chavanon
et al.
2004
). Our work has provided many more records and improved our understanding of the distribution of
V. ioannis
(
Fig. 4
).
