Description.
Shell small, ovoid sometimes pyriform with more or less distinct neck, circular in transverse section, crenulate, shell surface smooth, chitinous, hyaline or pale yellow, aperture circular, slightly smaller than the fundus.
Measurements.
Shell length 15–20 µm, shell width 10–16 µm, aperture diameter 4 µm.
Habitat.
Submerged freshwater plants, mosses and algae,
Sphagnum
mosses.
Geographical distribution.
Cosmopolitan.
