Chatzaki (MNHW). Differential diagnosis. Temnothorax ikarosi differs from T. parnonensis in entirely sculptured head and frons lacking smooth patches; from T. euboeae it differs in elongated petiolar peduncle and triangular propodeal spines; from T. anodontoides it differs in presence of distinct propodeal spines; from T. arkasi it differs in less elongate head, sparser and thicker promesonotal sculpture and bigger propodeal spines.
