Often fistulose surface processes with apical oscules are present. Choanosomal skeleton with widely spaced tracts of large oxeas vaguely radiating. Subectosomal skeleton more highly organised with regular tracts of large oxeas ascending to surface and ending as brushes in the conules of the surface. Ectosomal region with a distinct skeleton, constituted by tangential oxeas located between the brushes of the conules. Spicules: two size classes of oxeas, occasionally with stylote modifications.
