Distribution
. Cosmopolitan in temperate and tropical zones (Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans) (
Ibarra
Rivera & Hendrickx 2008; Meland & Ass 2013). While reviewing the western
Mexico
material of the SIO and of the Mazatlán collection,
Ibarra Rivera & Hendrickx (2008)
mostly found material from within the Gulf of California (
Ibarra Rivera & Hendrickx 2008
: fig. 22). The material reported herein is from six localities along the west coast of the
Baja California
Peninsula, ranging roughly from 22°N to 32°N (
Fig. 5
). Additional material from SW
Mexico
examined herein add a new record (
17°45’16”N
) for this species in this area (see
Ibarra Rivera & Hendrickx 2008
).
