Collection and habitat data.
The host plant of
Ophraella communa
is common ragweed (
Ambrosia artemisiifolia
L.), and all life stages can be found on this plant (
Welch 1978
). In New Brunswick, adults of
Ophraella communa
were collected from foliage of common ragweed on a roadside and swept from roadside foliage near a wet meadow in an area with ragweed. Adults were collected during August and September.
