Dorydorella
Originally created (
Andrássy 1987
) to accommodate three
Eudorylaimus
species with comparatively long odontostyle (1.3–2.0 times the lip region diameter),
Dorydorella
is a poorly characterized genus. It resembles
Oriverutus
in its general appearance and odontostyle length, but both genera are provisionally distinguishable by the morphology of lip region (lips not lobe-like and perioral area barely differentiated in
Dorydorella
) and of female tail (always straight ventrally and up to twice the anal body diameter in
Dorydorella
). Nevertheless, further studies should be undertaken to elucidate the relationships between these two genera.
