Habitus of holotype. ♀ Foenatopus keralensis ( Narendran & Sureshan 2003 ) . Diagnosis. Body length 11.1 mm , ovipositor sheath length 8.7 mm . Frons trans-striate without any oblique or longitudinal striations; vertex with four carinae followed by fine striae, not forming any medial grove; pronotum weakly reticulate dorsally; mesoscutum faintly shiny, reticulate, anterior half separated by a fovea, posteriorly with a median ridge; scutellum shiny with faint reticulations; metapleuron microsculptured; propodeum with large pits, interstices transversely reticulate; wings hyaline with pterostigma translucent yellow medially; hind coxa carinate punctate basally turning circularly annulate elsewhere; hind femora tridentate ventrally with a basal tubercle; first metasomal tergite uniformly annulated, longer than remaining segments; ovipositor sheath longer than metasoma, with a subapical yellow band.
