Diagnosis
Cautires tenebricus
belongs to a group of mountain species with a uniformly black body. This species resembles
C. nervosus
and
C. maseki
sp. nov.
in general appearance, but the male genitalia are characteristic in the slender phallus with the widened apical third (
Fig. 78
).
