Diagnosis. Female: dorsal idiosomal shield foveate-reticulate; bearing 15 pairs of setae, r3 on dorsal shield, R1 absent; j4 , j5 , j6 , z2 , z4 , z5 and J5 minute, others serrated, broad and flattened, s4 > s6 > Z5 > Z4 ; j3 shorter than distance j3–j4 . Sternal shield smooth, bearing three pairs of setae and two pairs of lyrifissures. Epigynal shield smooth. Peritremes extending to bases of j1 . Ventrianal shield vase-shaped, smooth, bearing three pairs of pre-anal setae, solenostomes gv3 posterior to JV2 and anterolaterad of anus. JV5 broadly serrated and flattened. Calyx of sperma- thecal apparatus short and flaring, Y-shaped. Cheliceral movable digit with one tooth, fixed digit with three teeth. Leg IV bearing four obvious macrosetae with bulbous hyaline tips. Specimen examined. Rarotonga: Ara Tapu near Tevas Villa, 2 females , ex. Cocos sp. leaves, 24 October 2017 , by Q.-H. Fan. Ministry of Agriculture garden, 1 female , ex. Hibiscus rosa-sinensis , same date and collector. Remarks . This species was originally described from pomelo ( Citrus maxima ) in Hong Kong ( Swirski & Shechter 1961 ). It is only known from China ( Hong Kong , Taiwan), Hawaii, India , Philippines , and USA ( Moraes et al . 2004 ; Demite et al . 2018 ). It is now recorded in the Cook Islands for the first time.
