Description.
Holotype
male. Dorsal coloration.
Head shiny dark reddish brown, apically paler; antennal segment I yellow, remainder segments embrowned to pale castaneous; anterior lobe of pronotum including the collar shiny yellow; posterior lobe shiny yellow except for black or pale brown semilunar area medially on posterior margin; scutellum dull black; hemelytron shiny throughout; clavus yellow with punctures and apical third castaneous; corium yellow with apical third castaneous; hemelytral membrane pale yellowish brown; connexivum yellow; middle third of connexival segments II–V with group of black spinules resembling an elongate spot; dorsal abdominal segments yellow.
Ventral coloration.
Head shiny reddish brown; rostral segments, legs, prothorax and abdominal sterna shiny yellow; mesothorax shiny castaneous and metathorax dull castaneous.
Structure.
Head: Antennal segment II twice or almost twice as long as segment I; rostrum stout, reaching posterior margin of prosternum. Pronotum: Wider than long; anterior lobe less than twice as long as posterior lobe. Hemelytron macropterous, extending beyond the apex of last abdominal segment; veins of hemelytral membrane distinct, forming three cells. Parameres.

Etymology.
From the Latin, “
macer
”, lean or thin, referring to the elongate body shape.
Discussion.
This new species resembles
A. delicatus
Harris
and
A. nigrofasciatus
Harris
by having the anterior lobe of the pronotal disk shiny yellow and connexival segments II–V yellow with a group of black spinules forming an elongate spot, but in the latter species, the hemelytra in greater part is black to dark brown with the costal margin yellow. In
A. delicatus
and A.
macer
sp. nov
.
, the hemelytra in great part are yellow with the apical third of clavus and corium castaneous.
Alloeorhynchus delicatus
known from
Panama
, is readily distinguished by having the posterior pronotal lobe shiny reddish brown. In
A. macer
described from
Mexico
, the posterior lobe is shiny yellow except for the black or pale brown semilunar area at middle third.
Distribution.
Known only from
Mexico
.
