Remarks.
Taphura boulardi
can be distinguished from all other known species of
Taphura
by the five spots on the dorsal head (
Sanborn 2017a
).
Taphura boulardi
has claspers that curve dorsally terminating in a hook-like structure.
Distribution.
The species has been reported from French Guiana and
Suriname
(
Sanborn 2011a
;
2017a
) with recent range extensions to include
Peru
(
Sanborn 2020c
),
Ecuador
(
Sanborn 2020d
), and
Trinidad
(
Sanborn 2020e
).
