Densely tufted, compact, mat-forming
perennial
, much-branched and woody at base. Flowering stems procumbent to ascending, up to

long, glandular-hairy on pedicels, bracteoles and calyx.
Basal leaves
subfleshy, 1-veined, narrowly oblanceolate-spathulate, 11–71 ×

, glaucous, glabrous, scabridulous at margin; young leaves sometimes ovate or slightly falcate, often involute.
Cauline leaves
11–43 × 1.5–6.0 mm, glaucous; lower oblanceolate, upper ones lanceolate to linear-lanceolate.
