Notes: In 1941, Handel-Mazzetti described ten new taxa based on Chu’s collections including
Parnassia leptophylla
.
PE
conserves most of Chu’s specimens, and we traced there three sheets of the
syntypes
of
P. leptophylla
. This species is identified by the appendages on the anther connective and deep, 3-lobed staminodes. These characters are well presented by a separated flower mounted on
PE
00866146, and so we designated it as the
lectotype
.
