Redescription
. Male. Integument orangish. Antennae black to brownish with distal segments lighter or basal ones, including scape, orangish. Femora orangish with peduncles yellowish; tibiae and tarsi brown to orangish-brown; forelegs even entirely orangish.
Head opaque, subglabrous. Frons and vertex with shallow, coarse, dense punctures. Clypeus and genae almost impunctate.
Antennal scape subglabrous, almost impunctate. Segments 3–4 shiny, subglabrous, with fine, shallow punctures, sparsely setose beneath. Segments from 5 opaque, micropubescent; 5 sparsely setose beneath. Third segment about 1/3 longer than scape, more than twice as long as 4 and about ¼ longer than 5; segments 6–8 as long as 3, segments 9–10 slightly shorter; 11 as long as 3.
Prothorax weakly tuberculate on each side at middle; moderately narrowed from middle to apical third and base. Pronotum opaque, subglabrous; median longitudinal callosity prominent, rounded on top; laterobasal gibbosities inconspicuous; disk almost impunctate, with few, erect setae at apical third; sides with shallow, fine punctures, irregularly dense. Sides of prothorax subopaque, glabrous; punctation more conspicuous than that of pronotum. Prosternum subopaque, glabrous, with few, irregularly sparse punctures. Mesosternum, sides of metasternum and episterna with yellowish, sparse pubescence. Urosternites smooth, shiny; fifth urosternite somewhat elongate, rounded at apex.
Elytra weakly sinuous behind middle. Punctation, excepting at base, subcontiguous becoming corrugate at apical third. Lateral costa above epipleura extending from middle to apical third. Epipleura moderately impressed, with subcontiguous punctures more or less arranged in 2 or 3 rows. Outer margin with short, sparse setae, with poorly conspicuous asperities at apex. Elytral apices obliquely truncate, sutural angle almost unarmed, outer angle with short spine.
Female. Similar to male. Antennae reaching apical curvature of elytra; segment 3 about 1 ½ as long as 4, little longer than 5; segments from 6 subequal, decreasing in length; 11 about 1/3 shorter than 3. Prothorax less sinuous at sides.
Measurements (mm) male/female, respectively. Total length, 6.5–7.3/5.7–8.9; prothorax length, 1.4–1.6/ 1.2–1.9; prothorax width at apex, middle and base, 1.1–1.2/0.8–1.4; elytral length, 4.7–5.3/4.3–6.4; humeral width, 1.3–1.4/1.1–1.7.
