Dasyproctus pentheri Leclercq 1956 Dasyproctus pentheri Leclercq 1956: 160 . corrected: Leclercq, 1957: 55 . Diagnosis. (based on the original description, as no specimen was available for study). Female . Body length 8 mm . Body black; punctation of head and mesosoma similar, moderate, with regular well-spaced pits; frons with distinct longitudinal groove reinforced with short carina, disappearing before anterior ocellus; clypeus quadridentate with median indentation formed from overhanging prolongation of median carina ( c.f. Fig. 24 of Leclercq (1958: 47) ; POD distinctly shorter than OOD; tibiae mostly brownish or blackish-brown ventrally; Gt 1 finely punctured; propodeum with fine rugulose enclosure, interstices microsculptured. Male . Clypeus with distinct longitudinal carina, apically truncated; frons with distinct IOC followed by broad depression; mandible brownish black; Gt 1 sturdy; Gt 2 impunctate; Gt 2 –Gt 4 bimaculate, spots of Gt 2 smaller than patches on following terga; Gt 5 –Gt 6 with wide yellow band; frons with scattered punctation, interstices smooth; punctation on mesosoma fine, moderately dense; pronotum without rugae on anterior part. Distribution. India : Tamil Nadu . Elsewhere : Indonesia ; Malaysia ; Philippines ; Sri Lanka ; Thailand ( Pulawski 2021 ).
