Distribution
.
Polistes meadeanus
was recorded only from the Tay Nguyen plateau in the southern part of
Vietnam
(Nguyen 2014). The reported distribution of the species is confined to southern parts of Southeast Asia, or Sunderland and the southeastern part of Indochina. Its origin is possibly in Sunderland with subsequent northward dispersal to
Vietnam
, but Indochina origins and subsequent southward dispersal cannot be rejected.
