This species can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the cap-like juxta and the apically trilobed valva with median lobe greatly curved dorsad in U shape at middle; and the clubbed lamella postvaginalis in the female genitalia. FIGURES 1‒7. Adults of Promalactis spp. 1, P. bigeminata sp. nov. , holotype, ♂; 2, P. derecta sp. nov. , holotype, ♂; 3, P. pectinacea sp. nov. , holotype, ♂; 4, P. pileata sp. nov. , holotype, ♂; 5, P. scalpelliformis sp. nov. , holotype, ♂; 6, P. ventericoncava sp. nov. , holotype, ♂; 7, P. venteriprocessa sp. nov. , paratype, ♀; 7b, head. Scales = 2 mm except 7b = 0.2. Description. Adult ( Fig. 4 ). Wingspan 7.5‒9.0 mm. Head white, tinged with yellow scales laterally, occiput pale brownish yellow. Labial palpus with second segment yellowish white, third segment white except distal 1/4 black. Antenna white except scape black apically and flagellum annulated with blackish brown on dorsal surface. Collar, thorax and tegula brownish yellow except thorax white distally. Forewing orange yellow from base to basal 3/5, pale brownish yellow in distal 2/5; with three white fasciae: basal fascia at proximal base; antemedian fascia extending from about basal 1/5 of costal margin to about middle of dorsum, oblique outward, widened anteriorly, slightly narrowed to anterior 1/3 or 2/5, thereafter abruptly narrowed and uniformly slender to dorsum, edged with sparse black scales; postmedian fascia from basal 2/3 of costal margin to dorsum before end of fold, anterior half extended outward and forming a sub-quadrate costal spot, with scattered black scales on outer margin, posterior half uniformly narrow, slightly diffused outward, with grey and black scales extending from outer margin of posterior 1/3 along termen to apical spot, with white scales or ill-defined dots along termen; apical spot white, ovate, with scattered greyish black scales; cilia greyish yellow, with sparse black-tipped scales, denser around apex and tornus. Hindwing and cilia grey. FIGURES 8‒11. Male genitalia of Promalactis spp. 8, P. bigeminata sp. nov. , paratype, slide No. DZH10321; 9, P. derecta sp. nov. , holotype, slide No. DZH09023; 10, P. pectinacea sp. nov. , holotype, slide No. ZMUC-NK019; 11, P. pileata sp. nov. , holotype, slide No. DZH09007. Scales = 0.2 mm. Male genitalia ( Fig. 11 ). Uncus bilobed: left lobe straight, shorter; right lobe slightly wider, curved distally; each lobe wide at base, narrowed to rounded apex, with a large thorn near base, with tufted spines and a thorn apically, outer margin with dense setae, inner margin with sparse setae. Tegumen narrowed anteriorly. Valva narrow at base, widened distally, trilobed apically: dorsal lobe extremely long, slender, pointed at apex; median lobe short, approximately 1/3 length of dorsal lobe, curved dorsad and forming a U shape medially, slightly widened and with strong short spines distally, obtuse apically; ventral lobe broadest, elliptical, slightly shorter than median lobe, densely setose, rounded apically. Sacculus uniform, concave dorsally before ventral lobe. Saccus parallel, narrowly rounded apically, about 1/3 length of uncus. Juxta cap-like, basal half wide, parallel laterally, distal half slightly narrowed to obtuse apex, mediolaterally with large sub-triangular process. Aedeagus inflated basally, gradually narrowed distally, with a curved sclerite bearing a few denticles before distal 1/3; cornutus absent. Female genitalia ( Fig. 16 ). Apophyses anteriores very short, about 1/5 length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternum serrate on posterior margin, tergum sclerotized on anterior margin. Lamella postvaginalis paired, clubbed, setose at apex. Ductus bursae membranous, expanded anteriorly, approximately 2 times length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae nearly round, with dense granules; signum sub-triangular, with two thorns medially. Distribution. China ( Hainan , Guangdong ). Etymology: The specific epithet of this new species is derived from the Latin pileatus , referring to the capshaped juxta.
