PSEUDOTHYRETES MARIAE
DUFRANE, 1945: 127
Type material
Holotype
:
♀
(
DRC
) ‘Kamituga, 15.10.39,
M. Fontaine’
(
KBIN
).
Biology
Unknown.
Distribution
This taxon is known only from the
type
locality in eastern
DRC
.
Molecular variation
Unknown, and not investigated.
Remarks
Pseudothyretes mariae
most probably represents one of the already known taxa. Considering the general distribution, it is least probable that it is the female of
P. obscurus
sp. nov.
or
P. nigrita
, although even this possibility cannot be definitely rejected.
Despite numerous requests to obtain the
holotype
for study we were told that it was on loan and unobtainable.
