Two new species and new records of caddisflies (Insecta: Trichoptera) from the Far East of Russia Author Arefina, Tatyana I. text Zootaxa 2005 1088 45 53 journal article 10.5281/zenodo.170519 5c49c4b3-87e1-4e70-a3ab-af504169d977 1175­5326 170519 Family Molannidae The Holarctic and Oriental genus Molanna includes 2 fossil, 22 extant species and 2 subspecies (Morse 2001). Three Molanna species were known from the Russian Far East: M. albicans (Zetterstedt 1840) , M. submarginalis McLachlan, 1872 and M. moesta Banks, 1906 ( Arefina 1997 ) . A 4th species, M. byssa n. sp. , consistent with morphological characters of the genus, was collected from the Byssa River at Fevralsk Town. This river is also a left tributary of the Selemdja River. The specimens were collected by net while sweeping riparian vegetation during the day.
