Type locality: Mexico , Guerrero , Omilteme [ sic ] = Omiltemi. Megarhina grandiosa in part of Howard et al . 1917 : 939 . Megarhinus ( Megarhinus ) grandiosus of Dyar 1928 : 407 (female diagnosis). This species has been recorded in Mexico in the states of Guerrero ( Williston 1900 ) and Tamaulipas (Ortega- Morales et al . 2015). This is the first record of Tx. grandiosus in the state of Veracruz . Material examined.
