( IOZ ). Diagnosis . This species is similar in habitus to H. pastor , but differs from the latter in having pronotal basal angles with sharp denticle at apex (occasionally denticle very small, indistinct) and with oblique convex fold underneath, elytral interval 7 without preapical pores. The internal sac of the median lobe of aedeagus ( Figs 38–39 ) is without any distinct sclerotized elements. Body length 12.8–15.9 mm . Distribution . China : the north-eastern and eastern parts. The species was previously known from Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Beijing, Hebei, Nei Mongol, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong ( Kataev 1997 ; Kataev et al. 2003 ); we record it here from Anhui, Henan, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hubei and Guangdong for the first time. The species also occurs in the south of eastern Russia (Buryatia, Chita and Amur Provinces, Khabarovsk and Maritime Territories), and North and South Korea ( Lafer 1989 ; Kryzhanovskij et al . 1995 ; Kataev 1997 ; Kataev et al . 2003 ; Paik & Moon 2005 ).
