This unassociated pupa clearly belongs to
Conochironomus
. It differs from the likely pupa of
C.
tobaterdecimus
(above) and ‘Nee Soon’ below, and may belong to
C. nuengthai
or
C. sawngthai
. Differences include the stronger cephalic tubercles and frontal setae (
Fig. 4
B), the spinose antepronotum which shows even some small hooklets (
Fig. 4
D), and perhaps the posterolateral corner (spur) of abdominal segment VIII (
Fig. 4
F).
