Figs 2–3 , 9A–B , 10A–B Type material. Holotype : Male (SYNU-Ar00308), near Mandian Falls ( 22°7.845’N , 100°39.749’E , elevation 736 m ), Nabanhe Nature Reserve , Xishuangbanna , Yunnan , China , 22 August 2012 , Guo Zheng , Xue Li , and Wenyue Zhu leg. Paratype : 1 female (SYNU-Ar00309), same data as holotype . Etymology. The specific name is a patronym in honor of the late Chinese arachnologist Chuandian Zhu; noun (name) in the genitive case. Diagnosis. The new species resembles B. gupian Yao & Li, 2018 ( Yao et al. 2018: 247 , figs 3–4, 11B, 12B) having similar bulbal apophyses ( Fig. 3C ), male chelicerae ( Fig. 3D ), and shape of epigyne ( Fig. 3A ), but it can be distinguished by prolatero-subdistal sclerite of procursus nearly angular (arrow 1 in Figs 2C , 9A ; vs. half-round in B. gupian ), by procursus straight ( Figs 2A–B , 9A–B ; vs.distal part of procursus directed towards antero-ventrally in B. gupian ), and by vulval pore plates nearly elliptic ( Figs 3B , 10B ; vs. anteriorly strongly widened in B. gupian ). Description. Male ( holotype , SYNU-Ar00308): Total length 1.47 (1.56 with clypeus), prosoma 0.61 long, 0.55 wide, opisthosoma 0.86 long, 0.75 wide. Leg I: – (4.08 + 0.30 + – + – + –), leg II missing, leg III: 6.34 (1.74 + 0.23 + 1.54 + 2.16 + 0.67), leg IV: – (2.49 + 0.23 + 2.28 + – + –). Eye interdistances and diameters: PME-PME 0.06, PME 0.06, PME-ALE 0.03, AME absent. Sternum width/length: 0.46/0.43. Habitus as in Figs 3E–F . Dorsal shield of prosoma and sternum yellowish, without marks. Legs whitish, without darker rings. Opisthosoma yellowish, with dorsal and lateral black spots. Thoracic furrow absent. Clypeus unmodified. Chelicerae ( Fig. 3D ) with pair of proximo-lateral apophyses and pair of curved distal apophyses (distance between tips: 0.46). Pedipalp as in Figs 2A–B ; trochanter two times longer than wide, with small retrolateral apophysis (arrow 1 in Fig. 2B ); femur with retrolatero-proximal apophysis (arrow 2 in Fig. 2B ); procursus ( Figs 2A–D , 9A–B ) simple proximally but complex distally, with nearly angular prolatero-subdistal sclerite (arrow 1 in Figs 2C , 9A ), nearly half-round, distally pointed distal membranous lamella (arrow 2 in Figs 2C , 9A ), and two retrolateral membranous lamellae (arrows in Figs 2D , 9B ); bulb ( Fig. 3C ) with hooked apophysis and simple embolus. Legs with short vertical setae on metatarsi. FIGURE 2. Belisana chuandiani sp. nov. , holotype male (SYNU-Ar00308). A–B. Pedipalp (A. Prolateral view; B. Retrolateral view, arrow 1 points at small retrolateral apophysis, arrow 2 points at retrolatero-proximal apophysis); C–D. Distal part of procursus (C. Prolateral view, arrow 1 points at nearly angular prolatero-subdistal sclerite, arrow 2 points at distally pointed distal membranous lamella; D. Retrolateral view, arrows point at two retrolateral membranous lamellae). b = bulb, ba = bulbal apophysis, e = embolus, pr = procursus. Scale bars: 0.10 (A–B), 0.02 (C–D). FIGURE 3. Belisana chuandiani sp. nov. , holotype male (C–F, SYNU-Ar00308) and paratype female (A–B, G–H; SYNUAr00309). A. Epigyne, ventral view; B. Vulva, dorsal view; C. Bulb, prolateral view; D. Chelicerae, frontal view; E–H. Habitus (E, G. Dorsal view; F. Lateral view; H. Ventral view). b = bulb, ba = bulbal apophysis, da = distal apophysis, e = embolus, ep = epigynal pocket, pa = proximo-lateral apophysis, pp = pore plate. Scale bars: 0.05 (A–D), 0.20 (E–H). Female ( paratype , SYNU-Ar00309): Similar to male, habitus as in Figs 3G–H . Total length 1.63 (1.71 with clypeus), prosoma 0.60 long, 0.58 wide, opisthosoma 1.03 long, 0.70 wide; leg I missing. Eye interdistances and diameters: PME-PME 0.03, PME 0.08, PME-ALE 0.03. Sternum width/length: 0.44/0.47.
