Description.
General color pale yellow in ethanol. Head with M-line not distinct; gena light brown; maxillary and labial palps light brown; antennae dark yellow, with scape and pedicel light yellow; compound eyes dark and with inner margin not pigmented; ocelli with narrow dark ring (

). Coxa and trochanter pale yellow, first and third pair of legs with entirely brown tibia and femur. Wings yellow with veins darker except veins Sc. Cerci dark yellow.
Male
. Forewing length
9.8–10.2 mm
(n= 2). Ninth sternite with a pair of basolateral protuberances; hammer U-shape (
Fig. 2E
). Penial amature with ventromedial membranous bowl-shaped section, with of four hooks, one pair lateroapically smaller and tapered, other pair posteriorly laterally longer and thicker with spines at the apex; the apex of the hooks are darkly sclerotized (
Figs. 2
B-D).
Female
. Forewing length 12.6–13.0 mm (n= 1). Head larger than the male, coloration similar to male. Subgenital plate notched, not reaching beyond the posterior margin of the sternum 9. The lateral bars are fused to the sternum 9.
Nymph.
Unknown.
Remarks.
Specimens have faded in ethanol. The presence of four penial hook-like structures is unusual and unique among the known species of
Macrogynoplax
, easily distinguishing the male of the new species from all other described species.
