The operative base was Finschhafen, the coastal town of the Huon­Peninsula, NE­New Guinea . The village Ogeramnang is situated in the foothills of the Saruwaget Mountains at 1785m a.s.l. (see Mayr 1931: 640–646 , Greenway 1935, Haffer 1997: 440–446 , 809–811 and Steinheimer 2004: 94 ).
