Glenea atropubens Pic, 1943 : 16 ( Tonkin ) . Glenea ( Glenea ) subsimilis m. atropubens : Breuning, 1956 : 136 . Supplementary description. Male: length: 16.0–22.0 mm, humeral width: 4.0–7.0 mm. Female: length: 22.0– 25.2 mm , humeral width: 7.0– 7.7 mm . Antennomere ratio: male: 16: 3: 28: 19: 20: 20: 19: 18: 17: 16: 17; female: 22: 5: 37: 25: 27: 25: 23: 21: 20: 18: 18. First hind tarsal segment longer than the following two segments combined. Male claws: anterior claws of fore and mid tarsi appendiculate, others simple. Male terminalia ( Figs 22 a–c): Tegmen length about 4.0 mm; lateral lobes moderate slender, narrower towards apex, apex with setae about as long as half of lateral lobes; basal piece mostly reduced to membranous; median lobe plus median struts slightly curved, longer than tegmen (47:40); median struts much shorter than half length of whole median lobe; dorsal plate slightly shorter than ventral plate; apex of ventral plate arrow-headed; median foramen broad and elongated, with projections in lateral view; internal sac less than 3 times median lobe plus median struts in length, with 4 pieces of basal armature, 2 bands of supporting armature and 3 rods; longer rods each about 2.0 mm, subequal to half of tegmen. Tergite VIII ( Fig. 23 ) transverse, apex projected, with sparse and short setae. Ventrite IX shorter than ringed part of tegmen. Female terminalia ( Fig. 24 ): Spermathecal capsule consisting of an apical lobe and a stalk, apical lobe oblong and with apex pointed, stalk curved twice, more than twice apical lobe in length. Tignum shorter than abdomen. Diagnosis. Differs from G. subsimilis in having all antennomeres black, elytral apical teeth very weak, and elytron with distance between first and second spots shorter than that between second and third, and distance between fourth and third spots subequal to that between fourth spot and apical vitta. Remarks. Gressitt (1939) described the male while Pic (1943) described the female. Although it was considered as G. subsimilis Gahan by Breuning (1956) , we reinstated its species rank after comparing their types . Distribution.
