Distribution
. Previously recorded creeping on fronds of
Macrocystis pyrifera
from both Gough [Ritchie 1907, as
S. hemisphaerica
(Allman, 1888)
] and Nightingale islands (Vanhöffen 1910, as
S. rosea
). This species has a circumglobal distribution in Antarctic and sub-Antarctic waters (Vervoort & Watson 2003).
