Examined material. Holotype Ƌ: France , Pyrénées-Orientales , Canet-en-Roussilon , beach, 2 m , 19.V.2007 , Th. Varenne leg., genitalia slide JN n°34029 ( RCTV ). BOLD Specimen ID TLMF 28245; BOLD Sequence ID PALEA235-20. BIN: BOLD:AEC5068 Identity: Isophrictis lineatella littorella Varenne, Nel & Peslier, 2020 , identity uncertain. Remarks. Isophrictis lineatella littorella was described from five males, a single female and specimens without information on sex ( Nel et al. 2020 ). We have been able to obtain a full barcode sequence of a paratype from Corsica which clusters separately from material collected in Italy (country of type locality of lineatella ) and Spain . Unfortunately Nel et al. (2020) did not figure the holotype of ssp. littorella from mainland France but only paratypes from Corsica , and it is therefore impossible to assess the status of this taxon with certainty. Cryptic diversity seems not unlikely from the three currently known barcode clusters.
