Carchesiopygus multidentatus (Strohmeyer) : Schedl, 1963 : 485 . Taxonomy. We have examined two male syntypes (SDEI) and male specimens from Java identified by Beeson (NHML) and Schedl (NMW). This species was considered by Kalshoven (1960) as a variant of C. wollastoni , but it is considered here (as by other authors, e.g. Schedl, 1963 , 1972 ) as a good species. The male can be distinguished by the characters given in the key. The female (from Strohmeyer’s (1913) description) resembles the female of C. assamensis . Female specimens were not available for study. Distribution. Indonesia (Java). Biology. Recorded from Dalbergia latifolia (Leguminosae) by Kalshoven (1960) .
