Apfelbeck published three descriptions of this taxon ( Apfelbeck, 1908 ; Apfelbeck 1918c ; Apfelbeck, 1930 ), the oldest one is correctly treated as valid. Hieke (1981: 79) recorded Trechus latus Putzeys, 1847 from Šar Planina. However, the revision of this material (kept in in MMNH) showed that it belong to Trechus subnotatus ljubetensis .
