Description. Holotype , female, length of body 3.83 mm, of fore wing 3 mm . Head. Antennomeres 16, distinctly shorter than body, average length of 3 rd –7 th segments 3.2 × their width, 8 th –11 th segments 1.6 × longer than wide; head transverse, width of head 2.2 × its dorsal length, roundly contracted behind eyes, length of eyes 15.2 × temple in dorsal view, OOL: OD: POL= 16: 5: 14, longitudinal diameter of eye 2.3 × height of gena; vertex evenly convex and with transverse rugae behind ocelli, temple finely and longitudinally striate-rugose, frons concave, striate-rugose around antennal sockets ( Fig. 2G ); length maxillary palp 0.5 × height of head in anterior view, face striate-rugose, clypeus shiny, finely punctate, length of malar space 2.2 × basal width of mandible ( Fig. 2F ). Mesosoma. Length of mesosoma 1.3 × its height; pronotum finely reticulate-rugose; mesoscutum evenly convex, reticulate-rugose, more strongly and coarsely rugose postero-medially; scutellum punctate medially, rugose laterally, more or less protruding above level of mesoscutum; scutellar suture comparatively deep and with 4 carinae; mesopleuron coarsely reticulate-rugose; propodeum coarsely reticulate-rugose with transversal carina and four blunt tubercles ( Fig. 2B ). Wings. Length of fore wing 2.5 × its width; length of marginal cell 0.9 × pterostigma; vein 2-Rl short ( Fig. 1 ); r: 3-SR: SRl = 1: 1: 6; SRl complete and straight; parastigma not or weakly swollen; 1-CUl: 2-CUl = 3: 7; vein CUlb short ( Fig. 2A ). Legs. Hind соха completely smooth and setose; hind femur robust, length of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 3.2, 4.5 and 6.4 × their maximum width, respectively; length of hind tibial spurs 0.5 × hind basitarsus ( Fig.2I ). Metasoma. Length of carapace 2.5 × its maximum width in dorsal view ( Fig. 2E ); third tergite of carapace almost straightly narrowed, longitudinally densely reticulate-rugose; apex of carapace truncate and narrow in dorsal view, with a wide ventral lamella in lateral view ( Fig. 2D ); apex of carapace deeply incurved, about one fourth of total length of carapace. Colour. Black; six basal antennomeres yellowish-brown, remainder of antennomeres dark brown; palpi light yellow; mandible brown except black basally; pterostigma and most of veins blackish brown, veins of basal half of wing light yellow; parastigma light yellow; carapace yellowish in basal 1/3; legs mainly yellowish-brown except dark brown apex of hind tibia and all telotarsi black. Male. Length of body 3.0 mm, similar to female, but differs in having 23–26 antennomeres; length of metasoma 2.7 × its maximum width in dorsal view ( Fig. 3E ); carapace with a small apical opening filled by white setae ( Fig. 3J ). Biology. Unknown. Distribution. Oriental China ( Yunnan , Taiwan , Hainan). Etymology. Named after its special metasoma: mirabilis is Latin for wonderful and strange, venter is Latin for belly.
