Munidopsis tridens
(
A. Milne-Edwards, 1880
)
Munidopsis tridens
has previously been reported as
Galathodes tridens
(see
Baba
et al.
2008
) and has a distributional range from the Caribbean and the Gulf of
Mexico
in depths of
381 to 473 m
(
Milne-Edwards 1880
;
Chace 1942
). Two specimens were measured. One male (CW
=
7.4 mm
), collected in June, was measured from the Gulf of
Mexico
from
600 m
depth. One ovigerous female (CW
=
5.2mm
) collected in March from the Caribbean from
549 m
was measured.
