Taxonomic note.
Aenictus artipus
belongs to the
Aenictus wroughtonii
species group and can be easily identified with the identification key provided by
Jaitrong et al. (2010)
.
Natural history.
Aenictus artipus
has been collected from leaf litter in various habitats such as secondary forest and rubber plantation located near natural secondary forest. In addition,
Aenictus artipus
has also been found in different habitats such as montane evergreen forest, savanna forest, evergreen forest and disturbed forest (
Jaitrong et al. 2010
).
