Theognete corderoi Anderson , new species ( Figures 248 , 265 , 282 ) Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 3.71–3.89mm ; female, 3.82–4.22mm . Width, male, 2.38–2.42mm ; female, 2.42–2.75mm . Antennal scrobes broadly visible in dorsal view. Pronotum and elytra with scales long, erect, plumose and shaggy; on pronotum condensed in anterolotreal angles and in paramedian tufts; elytral strial regions with fine, hair-like, non-plumose scales; posteroloteral area of elytra with 3–6 shallow punctures; basal margin of elytra not toothed at humeri. Collected from berlese extraction of mixed liquidambar, oak and cloud forest leaf litter at an elevation of 2000m and of wet oak-pine forest litter at an elevation of 1950m . Derivation of specific name . Named after Roberto Cordero of the Escuela Agricola Panamericana (El Zamorano) in Honduras . Material examined . 2♂ , 2♀♀ ( CMNC ).
