Records from Borneo Sabah : Danum Valley, Gomantong, Poring, Sepilok, Tepadong ( Payne et al ., 2000 ). CentKal: Tanjung Puting NP (Strue- big et al. , 2006 b ). Comments One male individual was captured in a harp-trap set over a stream in forest at the Tabalar formation. This is the second record for Kalimantan . It is known as a rare, and patchily distributed forest specialist, and is only known from several other local- ities in Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia where it has also been associated with streams in good quality forest ( Payne et al. , 2000 ; Kingston et al ., 2003 ; Boitani et al ., 2006 ). It is listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN (Hutson et al ., 2001), and is dis- tinguished from other Murina by skull length (CCL 13.96 mm , which is longer than that of M. suilla ) and having golden tips to the fur.
