( Fig. 11 ) Diagnosis. Bolivaritettix tenuifemura sp. nov. is similar to Bolivaritettix nigrifemurus Deng, Zheng et Wei, 2007 , but differs in: antennae inserted between lower margin of eyes; upper margin of pronotum undulated before shoulders and straight behind shoulders in profile; width of midfemur narrower than width of visible part of tegmina; wings surpassing top of hind process of pronotum; hind tibia dark brown, with light ring in the base. It appears similar to Bolivaritettix fuscoviridis Ingrisch, 2006 , but differs from the latter by it width of vertex narrower than width of one eye; hind process of pronotum reaching two-thirds of hind tibia; disc of pronotum slightly convexed between shoulders; wings surpassing apex of hind process of pronotum. Description. Female. Size small. Head not exserted above pronotal surface ( Fig. 11 b). Width of vertex slightly narrower than width of one eye (1:1.1), anterior margin of vertex arched ( Fig. 11 c), not protruding beyond eyes, median carina conspicuous. In profile, vertex and frontal ridge obtuse rounded together, slightly concave before lateral ocelli( Fig. 11 b), frontal ridge roundly protruding between antennae, width of longitudinal furrow narrower than width of first segment of antennae. Antenna filiform, 14-segmented, length of a segment in middle about 6–7 times longer than its width, inserted between lower margin of eyes ( Fig. 11 b, d). Eyes globose; lateral ocelli placed in middle between eyes ( Fig. 11 b, d). Disc of pronotum with numerous small tubercles, slightly convex between shoulders, anterior margin of pronotum straight and slightly concave in middle, midkeel of pronotum entire, upper margin of pronotum undulated before shoulders and straight behind shoulders in profile. ( Fig. 11 b). Lateral keels of prozona constricted backwards ( Fig. 11 a, c), humeral angle obtuse, with a pair of abbreviated carinae between shoulders ( Fig. 11 a). Hind process of pronotum narrow, long cone-shaped, surpassing top of hind femora and reaching two-thirds of hind tibia ( Fig. 11a, b). Lateral lobes of pronotum produced outwards, end of posterior angles truncate ( Fig. 11 a), posterior margins of lateral lobes of pronotum with two concavities ( Fig. 11 b). Tegmina long oval, apex round ( Fig. 11 e). Wings surpassing top of hind process of pronotum ( Fig. 11 b). Upper and lower margins of fore femora straight, lower margins of middle femora slightly undulated ( Fig. 11 f), width of midfemur narrower than width of visible part of tegmina. Length of hind femur 3 times longer than wide, antegenicular right angle and genicular denticles acute. In dorsal view, outer side of hind tibia with 7–8 spines, inner side with 5–6 spines. Length of first segment of hind tarsi longer than third, third pulvillus longer than first and longer than second, apices of all pulvilli sharp ( Fig. 11 g). Ovipositor narrow and long, length of upper valvulae 4 times its width, upper and lower valvulae with slender saw-like teeth. Length of subgenital plate equal to its width, middle of posterior margin of subgenital plate with a triangular convex ( Fig. 11 h). Body brown. Wings black. Hind femur brown, lower outer side black. Hind tibia dark brown, with light ring in the base. Male. Unknown. Measurements. Length of body Ƥ 7.5–8 mm , length of pronotum Ƥ 9.5–10.0 mm, length of hind femur Ƥ 4.5–5.0 mm. Type Material. Holotype : female. P.R. CHINA , Guangdong prov., Jiexi (Wujingfu), 23.6°N , 116.0°E , 800m alt, 8.viii.2009 , collected by Wei-An DENG . Paratypes . Two female, same data as for holotype . Material is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China . Etymology. The new species’ name is derived from the Latin tenu and femura , meaning width of middle femur narrower than width of tegmina. Distribution. China (Guangdong).
