Diagnosis. This species can be easily distinguished from other species of the genus by the following characteristics: syntergite 1+2 translucid and hind femur with two strong apical
av
setae.
Redescription. Male. Dark brown fronto-orbital plate with 3 setulae (

). Parafacial with silver pruinosity (
Fig. 6B
). Brown palpus with lighter base (
Fig. 6B
). Dark brown antennae with lighter pedicel (
Fig. 6B
). Dark brown arista.
Thorax. Dark brown mesonotum with two slightly distinct median grey stripes. Dorsocentrals 1+3, first postsutural smaller than the others (
Fig. 6C
). One postsutural intra-alar seta. Katepisternals 1+1+1, not forming an equilateral triangle, anterior seta smaller than the remaining setae (
Fig. 6A
).
Wings. Smoky, but lighter at the base (
Figs. 6A, 6C
). Dark brown veins. Whitish and hyaline calypteres (
Fig. 6C
). The lower calypter is twice as long as the upper calypter.
Legs. Yellowish. Femora with brownish tip. Fore tibia with a row of apical

setae. Hind tibia with 2 apical

setae.
Abdomen. Dark brown, syntergites 1+2 translucid (

). Sternite 5 with several apical setae (
