Diagnosis.
Scutum dark brown, postpronotum and notopleuron bluish-grey dusted; legs bluish-grey dusted; one pair of orbital setae, curved outwards and backwards
Notes.
This runs to couplet 9 of Emden’s (1951) key, close to
L. fuscohalterata
Emden
and
L. tetragramma
Emden
, differing from both species by the shorter frontal triangle, vibrissal angle projecting beyond profrons, hind femur with one anteroventral seta, knob of halteres yellow, and the dusted pattern of scutum and abdomen (
Pont 1969
).
Pont (1969)
gave an emendation of Emden’s (1951) key to identify these three species.
