The Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture was identified by its brownish-black plumage. The head, neck and throat were featherless with yellow skin, reddish forehead, and
gray-blue nape and crown. The flesh-colored beak was
thick and hooked at the tip. This species has a rounded and short tail and white legs, with long front toes with small webs.
