Diagnosis. Recognized by its moderate size; brown to dark-brown body; dorsum matte, more or less mottled; labium short, slightly over metacoxa. In Korea , P. ohataensis and P. minakatai shows similar appearance, can be distinguished by below key (couplet 6), slender and elongated lobal sclerite of male genitalia, more widened right paramere ( Figs. 7 , 9 ). For more diagnostic characters, description and figures, see Wagner & Weber (1964) and Kerzhner (1988a) . Redescription . Body moderate to rather large, elongate oval, subparallel sided; basic coloration copper brown to fuscous; dorsal surface matte, partly glossy, with white sericeous, reclining pubescence and dark, simple, semierect setae. Head oblique, covered with pale, minute suberect setae; clypeus brown or reddish brown, with irregular, symmetrical dark markings; frons slightly rugose; vertex narrow, eye width subequal to width of vertex in male. Antenna copper brown, slender; segment I highly mottled with brown spot, with long, semierect setae; base of segments II and III pale. Labium glossy and brownish, segment IV darkened; reach over metacoxa to sternum V. Pronotum Chestnut brown to dark brown; fuscous line traverse medially, not obvious at dark specimen; posterior part usually dark brown; posterior margin pale; calli brown to pale brown, slightly tumid, rugose; collar usually brown, rounded; scutellum rather tumid, pale brown to copper brown; pleura widely darkened, ventral margin and ostiolar peritreme pale yellow. Hemelytron generally brown to dark brown, mottled; posterior part of corium pale, with a pair of dark, oblique marks; cuneus dark brown, basal 1/3~1/4 pale spotted, often tinged with red basally; membrane grayish, with irregularly speckled pale spots; vein dark brown. Leg slender, dark brown; coxae and trochanters pale yellow; meso- and metacoxa tinged with brown basally; femora rather flat, speckled with pale spots; basal 1/4 pale yellow; each tibia with three or four pale rings, metatibia vaguely annulated; apex of protibia and extreme apex of mesotibia unicolorously copper brown. Abdomen entirely darkened in male, rarely with pale portion; female abdomen dark brown laterally, medially pale. Male genitalia as in Figs. 7 , 9 , Female genitalia as in Fig. 12 . FIGURE 1.
