Most species of
Neocompsa
Martins, 1965
are frequently collected at night (
Noguera
et al.
2009

Audureau & Roguet 2018
). In
Mexico
, 27 species of
Neocompsa
have been recorded.
N

puncticollis asperula
(Bates, 1885)
is one of the most abundant species collected of this genus in
Mexico
. However, in this study only
three specimens
were found.
