A boreal transpalearctic species: from Ireland and Spain in the west to Sakhalin and the northern Sikhote-Alin in the east, from the forest-tundra zone of Europe and Siberia (in the Far East from North Amur Region) in the north to Southern Europe, Northern Kazakhstan , Northern China , North Korea , and Central Sakhalin in the south. We have not been able to find published evidence for this species in Japan , as indicated in the Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera ( Putchkov, Matalin 2017 ) .
