Ecology.
Occurs under stones and vegetable detritus, under bark, at the base of
Tamarix
bushes, often in association with ants of many genera.
Notes.
Penati and Vienna (2005
,
2006a
) recorded
two specimens
of this species collected at Fonni and Nuoro, kept under this name in the Binaghi collection (CGB). Having examined the actual specimens, I was able to assess that they belong to
Kissister minimus
(Laporte)
; therefore, the occurrence on the island of
Tribalus minimus
seems to be based only on the
two specimens
collected at San Vito in 1872.
