MATERIAL:Sundevall in his original description(1850:100)gave no indication that his species was based on more than
one specimen
. According to Sundevall’s acquisition catalogue the original type series consisted of
five specimens

Gyldenstolpe (1926: 29–30)
referred to NRM 568734 [6550] as a “type”, which we treat as a
lectotype
designation of this adult female collected
25 October 1843
at a nest with an egg at
Saulspoort
(Mohoapoani).
The
four paralectotypes
