Diagnosis.
This species is most similar to
C. neochloodes
, with diagnostic differences listed under that species. Perhaps this should be considered as a subspecies of
C. neochloodes
.
Description.
Body length
7.5–8 mm
. Dorsal surface with dense yellow pubescence. Coloration of head and pronotum metallic green with bluish overtones on the disc. Mouthparts, antennomeres and legs yellow. Antennomeres IV–XI slightly darker. Elytra metallic bluish green, with wide yellow lateral band, reaching 7th interval; apical part of band widened. Ventral surface black, iridescent, except wide lateral band on all abdominal segments.
Head with distinct microsculpture throughout; punctate, with small smooth area on vertex. Pronotum convex, microreticulate, very deeply and densely punctate, less or no more than one diameter distance from each other, in some specimens confluently punctate. Lateral margins very narrow. Hind angles right. Elytra with striae deep, moderately punctured on the base, punctures gradually reduced towards apex. Intervals flat, slightly convex at base.
