Holotype , allotype, and paratypes in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Hym. Typ. No. 2002 ( holotype ), 2003 (allotype), and 2004–2084 ( paratypes ). Diagnosis . propodeum without a medio-longitudinal keel; pterostigma distinctly 3.0 × as long as wide; metacarp distinctly longer than pterostigma; 1st discal cell wider than high, vein 1-CU1 and 2-CU1 equal in length; vein cu- a of hind wing perpendicular to 1-1A; T1 relatively short, 1.4 × longer than basal width; ovipositor sheath 1.5 × as long as hind tibia; mesonotum with crowded to contiguous punctation, interspaces dull and distinctly smaller in size than punctures; hind tibia at base with a distinct yellow ring; and two preapical segments of antenna about 1.5× longer than wide. Material examined . 1♀, Hongxialinchang, Jingyuan, Ningxia, 2008. VII.1–7 , Yao Jiemin, No. 200808751; 1♀, Qiuqianjia, Mt. Liupan, Jingyuan, Ningxia, 2008. VII.8 , Yao Jiemin, No. 200808539. Distribution . China (Province: Ningxia) new record ; Austria , Bulgaria , Hungary , Turkey . Note . Papp (1975) constructed a key to the mycetophilus -group for four European species including this species, but Nixon (1976) placed it in the merula -group which we do not agree because of the absence of a median keel on the propodeum. Papp (1983) transferred it to laspeyresiella- group, which we agree. Features of the examined specimens mostly agree with the description in Papp (1972, 1982) and Nixon (1972) except that the pterostigma is not pellucid pale yellow but slightly pale brown and the hind leg is mostly dark except for basal tibia which is yellow.
