Paracapnia angulata
(Hanson, 1961)
is not common in the southern Appalachians, but is the most widespread Nearctic species in the genus. It has been recorded from Atlantic
Canada
to Arkansas and as far west as Colorado (
Stark & Baumann 2004
). This species has been reported from Macon, Jackson and Transylvania counties in North Carolina near the Georgia state line (
Beaty 2015
). The records presented here were collected over 50 years ago, but were never reported.
