Between 1896 and 1903 the engineer and transport officer of the "Mombasa-Uganda Railway" in British East Africa, Felice (sometimes Felix) Thomas sent several shipments, containing amphibians and reptiles, from the Kenyan coast province (Mombasa and Takanugu) and from Nairobi to ZMB.
